Epigenetic Robotics is a methodology that uses metaphors from neural development and developmental psychology to develop the mind for autonomous robots. This new cutting edge research area is at intersection of child development and robotics, where evidence accumulating for potential use in therapy of children with autism. As fundamental solution to motivate autonomous communication between robot and autistic children, this study aims to investigate Epigenetic Robotics Methodology (ERM) and clarify its psychological elements to create artificial emotion that realized in a set of basic programming architecture for humanoid robot. Fundamental elements of developmental psychology in Epigenetic Robotics such as artificial emotion, self-motivation and self-organization will be used to create parameter functions in a set of programming architecture in robotic systems.
