This research is focusing on investigation and formulation of a specific elementary algorithm based on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) principles in robotics that suits humanoid robot to interact effectively and safely with autism children. HRI concept is selected as the base algorithm since it has great potential to teach children with autism how to detect and understand emotions and social behaviors. In order to set-up the basic interactive modules for humanoid robot interacting with autism children, suitable algorithm from HRI concept is selected, studied and modified. The significance of this study will impact the life of autistic children and their caregivers by giving new hopes and improve quality of life for the autism community that suffer from a lifelong developmental disability.
